Truth in the end times. Biblical Christians.

Biblical Christians. THE TRUTH FOR THE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

What's your name?

As we know from the Bible, each of us will be given a new name, which we will get on a white pebble. To everyone who wins God will give a new name....

Jesus Christ - to the victor I will give a white pebble, and on the pebble a new name written.

But for now we live on earth, though many would like to be with God already.

In Hebrew culture, not to be confused with Jewish culture, a name meant character. Often it was God who gave the name. Such was the case with Isaac. Due to the unbelief of Isaac's mother Sarah, who also had a God-given name, her son was to be named after her reaction to being pregnant at an advanced age - laughter.

Hebrew: יִצְחָק Jic'chak - "laughter"

Another less interesting name was Jabes, which means "pain" from the Hebrew (Oseb).

Can you imagine how in those days other children would behave towards such children in the yard? In a Krakow field :-).

They are playing soccer, and here someone yells, You laughter pass the ball to Pain. Laughter passes the ball to Pain and scores a goal for the Reds (Edomites) goalie from the Hebrew "admoni".

The Edomites were communists, precursors of the sickle and hammer. Their deity was Milkom (Moloch).

God himself has many names. Only in Isaiah is it written of such names as the Awesome Counselor, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, the Eternal Father.

And much more:

But this entry is meant to be different.

I would like you to determine for yourself what your name is based on your character after being born again.

I know this will be difficult for some, and if so, ask your fellow believers what name they would give you.

I know that some people probably feel unnecessarily condemned, but each of us has some gifts from God.

My suggestions: Prayer Warrior, Intercessor, Joy Bee, Warm Blanket, Whisperer(s), Ponderer, Caregiver, Keeper of the Fire, etc. etc.

🙂

I invite you to play privately, which will help you discover your calling as well.

  1. My name written in Hebrew ? לוחם תפילה

  2. But an interesting note...

  3. In ancient times, a white pebble with a new name was given to a slave upon his release.
This is a beautiful metaphor for the change in our state/character (thus our name) after accepting the salvation offered to us by the Lord Jesus.

Without an engraved name, it signified a verdict of acquittal for the accused, and in sporting competitions it was given to the winner.

    1. Oooo very interesting. I didn't know
