|The beast which thou sawest was, and is not, and shall come up out of the abyss, and go into perdition. And the inhabitants of the earth, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, shall be astonished to see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (9) Here is reason which has wisdom. The seven heads are the seven mountains on which the woman sits. (10) And the kings are seven - five have fallen, one is, another has not yet come, and when he does come he is to remain for a short time. (11) And the beast that was, and is not, she herself is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes to perdition|.
Indeed, popes look like kings....
Benedict came up short, and if we consider what I wrote last time that the beast is the Jesuits, then indeed Pope Francis is the eighth king
"And the beast that was, and is not, she herself is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes to perdition|"
He is of the seven i.e. Rome, the Vatican, but he is the eighth king and also the beast - a Jesuit. It makes sense.
If this interpretation is correct, then the world will be divided into 10 regions and power will be given away.
" And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet taken the kingdom, but will take power as kings for one hour along with the beast. (13) They have one intention, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (14) They will fight against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with him are called, chosen, and faithful. (15) And he said to me: The waters which thou sawest, over which the harlot sitteth, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. (16) And the ten horns that you saw on the beast - they will hate the harlot and make her desolate and naked and eat her flesh and burn her in the fire. (17) For God put it into their hearts to do his will, and in unison, and they gave up their kingdom bestia until God's words are fulfilled. (18) And the woman you saw is the great city that reigns over the kings of the earth."
It follows that the last 10 political rulers on earth, presidents of countries will destroy the Vatican and they will give power to the beast that is the Jesuits.
This is an interpretation that appeals to me, yet the apocalypse is only understood when it is fulfilled.
ps
I'm out of the field. I'm recording tomorrow, though.
"And the kings are seven - five have fallen, one is, another has not yet come" > John was given a vision and it would be good to look at this prophecy from his perspective in the first place. 5 kings have fallen: Assyria, Babylon, the Medes, the Persians, Greece, there are plenty to choose from.
"one is" => Roman authority
"another has not yet come" > various versions, perhaps someone from the "modern era", the strongest ruler in existence moments before the Beast and the false prophet took the reigns.
"And the beast that was, and is not, she herself is the eighth, and is of the seven" -> the revived Roman kingdom? "legs partly of iron and partly of clay" from the statue of "Daniel".
10 horns of the beast = 10 rulers who will watch Babylon fall and fight the Lamb -> this clearly fits the rulers of the 10 areas of the entire world (the Club of Rome already has this worked out)
It could also be...
7 kingdoms fit for the Third Reich
The Beast coming out of the Abyss is an atheistic power, first appearing in Europe during the French Revolution, and its aftermath being atheistic communist states.
It was also the one who ended the reign of the Church State (the little horn), inflicted a mortal wound on it. The head of the Beast from the Sea that had dominated Europe spiritually was beheaded in favor of the Enlightenment. The Reformation then took a breather from religious oppression.
But this head has come back again in the 20th century with more force than the old one, and the same situation repeats itself again.
The Beast from the Abyss will return again during the last plagues for a moment just before the coming of Christ when the world realizes how it has been deceived by the Great Whore who wants to establish a false peace and unity under his NWO aegis.
When the spiritual Euphrates dries up, or the people trusting in the Harlot lose their faith in her because of unbearable plagues and the Wrath of God, then all of Babylon will collapse because the people who supported her will realize that they have been terribly deceived, which will arouse in them the same wrath as during the French Revolution.
Why the spiritual Euphrates?
Why do you interpret the Euphrates as people trusting the Harlot?
Since the resurrection of Christ, the symbolism has been in the spiritual dimension.
The Euphrates River fed ancient Babylon, which was able to exist because of it when it dried up due to Cyrus then Babylon fell.
Today, Great Babylon is the spiritual city of all the unsaved and is fed by a river or stream of people who support it in its activities.
When these people see that they have been deceived and the Wrath of God is coming upon the earth they will become enraged and turn away from supporting the Great Whore and even attack her as Revelation says. Christ through the plagues will make the spiritual Euphrates dry up.
Just as Jerusalem is the spiritual city of all the saved.
Here it is more extensively explained, as the 8th 8 will still return after the millennium to deceive the world one last time.

If any would come for a short time, it would be more John Paul I, who was 33 days. Benedict XVI was 8 years, that's a very long time compared to JPI.
Interesting interpretation. I have been digging into the subject of the apocalypse for some time now. I came across another interpretation. The 8 kings are the 8 presidents of the United States, starting with President Carter... and ending with Trupp, who is the 7th king.
I encourage you to read pdf "Rapture Puzzle"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyBl6SbZx4c&t=6s
It is not possible for these 8 kings to be popes. I already explain why.A revelation was given to John in the 1st century AD and this revelation says that 7 kings have fallen (past tense) 1 is (present tense - when John is alive) and there will be 8 (future). In my opinion, this is definitely about Roman emperors (there was one in John's lifetime) and not about popes. If the beast is the Vatican/Jesuits then who is the harlot? Makes absolutely no sense, because it would come out that the Vatican is riding itself.
The harlot is the Vatican and the beast, in my opinion, is the Jesuits today. The Vatican is riding the Jesuits, but the time is coming when the Jesuits will burn the harlot.
We begin the counting of popes with the signing of the Lateran Treaty.
Even if your, or rather I guess the Adventist view is true, that does not preclude my interpretation? Why? Well, based on Kohelet, that would be hyperbole, there is nothing new under the sun
And why do you treat the Jesuits as something separate from the Vatican? After all, they are part of the system, they report directly to the Pope.
Why start the count with this treatise? After all, John received Revelation when there were no popes and the emperor ruled.
I see it as Baptists/evangelicals. Adventists think more like you that the beast is the Vatican.
And in what sense are different interpretations not mutually exclusive?
To my knowledge, the Jesuits currently rule the Vatican.
John received the Revelation when there were no popes, but the Revelation is not only about John's time, for what would the mark of the beast have been in John's time....
Therefore, from this treaty because the Vatican was established as a separate state and therefore there are kings.
No, I never wrote that the beast is the Vatican.
They do not exclude because just as the painting of the door with the blood of the lamb in Egypt took place so did the sacrifice of those coming out of spiritual Egypt.
Could someone please comment on the interpretation that mentions the 8 kings who are the presidents of the united states?
information on this topic is included in this PDF
https://dayofthelord2020.webs.com/RAPTURE%20PUZZLE-1.pdf
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv8WY4MZ9I4
and it says that the Day of the Lord will come on January 1, 2020.
many facts support this.
I found a similar interpretation (although I lean less towards it) here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKo_LuYF0Z0
It talks about the Lord's Day and solar eclipses that have been occurring since 2017 and are exactly the same as on the Day of the Passion, which is a very rare occurrence.
I don't believe any prophecy that points to a specific day. Linden over linden. No one knows the day.
Very interesting interpretation, it appeals to me with that I came across such a page on the web about antipapacy, here the link https://www.sanctamissa.pl/antykosciol-vaticanum-ii/
The antipopeage arose after the council and then one would have to count that the first king-antipope was John 13.
"And the kings are seven - five are fallen, one is, another has not yet come, and when he comes he is to remain for a short time. (11) And the beast that was, and is not, she herself is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes to perdition|"
John 13 as the first, Bergoglio in turn is 6 and is, the next will be briefly 7, and 8 is the beast ... for some time I have a strange feeling that it will be John Paul 2 I know it sounds strange but ... |The beast, which you saw, was, and is not, and is to come out of the abyss, and go into perdition. And the inhabitants of the earth, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, shall be astonished to see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. I know it sounds like a horror story...but it's something I've been thinking about for a long time and wanted to share with you.
You don't have to post this if you find it too scary but perhaps this is a clue every TRUTH can sound scary at first...it's just a hunch
