I believe this is a very important teaching not only for married couples, but mainly for those living in a fiancé relationship or those who intend to be in one. Let it be a warning and a shake-up to people who, like most of society, still believe in so-called butterflies in the belly or "chemistry".
The pastor lists four kinds of love from the Greek.
Philia - fraternal
eros - physical,
stroge - friends
Agape - love from God, it can e.g. forgive someone who betrayed you
He insists on reason and not love! Love is a decision and not chemistry. Love is when one party takes care of the other's needs before the other party asks for anything.
A week ago Mieszko recommended this lecture by an American pastor on marriage to me and someone else. I didn't want to watch another lecture on a subject I've already discussed many times. I did it for Mieszko 🙂 I thank him for that 😉 .
Recommended.
I know, I know I'm nitpicking but let's pay attention to the symbol the pastor has in ... I don't know what it's called.
The exact same crown symbol was worn at one time by Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, Coppeland, T.D Jakes, Oyedepo among others, the cream of the success gospel.
not bad, I don't know, I don't know him yet, but I can separate what is valuable from what is poison.
You know Fxx ( what's your name by the way?), no pastor of deception can ever in his considerations or set of teachings just lie. There must be a great deal of truth.
In this case I think the whole thing, although I would add a lot.
Arthur. There is truth in this particular teaching, but I think he also incidentally sold a success gospel along the lines of "as much as you are able to give to...."
All of these pastors repeated the exact same words like a mantra and then immediately threw in an argument along the lines of "and God gave much more" and that is in this teaching as well.
Even before his death, the pastor unfortunately preached elements of possible success and legitimized Creflo Dollar's mission by explaining him out of his wealth.
In the Polish Internet there are also pastors who preach good sermons and mislead without question. For example, they want to attract emigrants, they manipulate saying that the Decalogue is for Judaists, while they themselves cooperate with Jews.
Simply put, sermons need to be interesting to sell something.
Because the chemistry evaporates, and the person remains 😀
