The plot:
In a small town somewhere in deep Appalachia, Pastor Lemuel Childs (Walton Goggins) presides over an isolated sect of snake handlers who willingly commune with venomous specimens to prove their power before a god. As his devoted daughter, Mara (Alice Englert), begins preparations for her wedding under the watchful eye of Hope Slaughter (Olivia Colman), dangerous secrets begin to surface. Suddenly, the girl is forced to confront the traditions of the church run by her father.American drama directed by Britt Poulton (Profile) and Dan Madison Savage (Lizard King short film). W one of the lead roles is played by sensational Academy Award winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite). The cast also includes Kaitlyn Dever (miniseries The Incredibles), Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures), Jim Gaffigan (Intercity Relations) and Emmy nominee Walton Goggins (Tomb Raider).
