A brother in the faith sent me the ABCs of salvation to help people who are interested in knowing God and being saved in Jesus from the other's death.
_____________
Three steps to be saved. Beginning with the gospel of the good news of God's grace that we have received, through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
1 And I remind you, brethren, of the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received and in which you abide,
2 and by which you are saved, if you only keep it as I have preached it to you, unless you have believed in vain.
3 For I first gave you that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures
4 and that he was buried, and that on the third day he was raised from the dead according to the Scriptures,
In his first letter to the Corinthians, Paul included the quintessential gospel that Jesus died for us on the cross and rose again for our salvation.
The answer to this gospel is "The ABCs of Salvation"
A. Admit/realize that you are a sinful person and far from God. That you will go to perdition if you do not turn back from the way you are going now.
Romans 3:10 as written: There is not one righteous person,
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God's grace is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
The Bible makes it clear that everyone has sinned, and it is not wrong. For every lie, half-truth or concealment of the full truth, slander, or anger, appropriating even an office pencil, or even the fact that we have grieved someone is sin. We could list this multitude for hours, and the undeniable fact is that each of us has sinned many times in our lives. And in God's eyes, every sin is just as bad and He has delivered us from it. So to say that "I have no sins, I have not robbed or killed anyone" is a lie and a sin in itself.
B. Believe in your heart
Romans 10:9-10
9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto justification, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
C. Cry out to God and confess with your mouth that he alone is Lord and King of kings
Romans 10:13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Fall to your knees before the majesty of God and confess that Jesus Christ is your Lord, the only savior, the one who died and rose again for your sins.
And at the very end, such a prayer to God if you really want to find him and live close to him.
Dear Father in Heaven, I want to know You personally. Let me find myself and experience Your presence in my life. I want to know You as the living God who alone is the source of life and wisdom. Show me the way to You that leads through Your Son Jesus Christ, in whose Name I ask this, Amen.
In this earthly life we are only a couple who appear for a short time and then disappear, so let us not underestimate God and even more so the gift of grace that He has prepared for us.
Be aware that your life hangs in the balance and in an hour they may be packing you into a black bag.
But death is not the end of the road but the beginning of the road, if you want to get on that road at all.
