About a month ago, a post like this circulated on the internet. I received it today:
The Swiss consumer magazine "K-Tipp" investigated how clean the hygiene masks of commuters were after wearing them. For this purpose, 20 disposable masks were collected from passersby in Zurich and sent to a laboratory. The results were frightening - 11 of the 20 masks tested contained over 100,000 bacterial colonies - three of them over a million! A random sample collected from the touch screens of ticket vending machines was used as a reference. The value ranged from 3 to 69 such colonies. In addition, microbiologists found staphylococci on 14 of the tested masks. They are found mainly on the mucous membranes of humans and animals. Some species of staphylococci can cause pneumonia or meningitis. Laboratory technicians also encountered mold and yeast on 15 masks. According to experts, inhaling fungal spores can lead to respiratory irritation. In this case, people with weakened immune systems are most at risk. Inhaling spores can lead to allergies, asthma and even bronchitis.
If true, masks are the cause of disease and not c-19 as previously thought
