"This morning, during the swearing-in ceremony, the acting president of Kazakhstan proposed to rename the capital. The Parliament has already made the relevant decision - henceforth the capital will be named after former President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who resigned yesterday."

 

Henceforth, Astana will be Nursultan.

 

I wrote about the capital of this post-Soviet country in the old blog. Astana, which is an anagram of the word "satana", changes its name for the second time and I think it is worth reminding ourselves about this city as well as highlighting the former president of Kazakhstan.
