Truth in the end times. Biblical Christians.

Biblical Christians. THE TRUTH FOR THE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Selfies are linked to narcissism, addiction and mental illness, researchers say.

Our culture is changing according to Bible prophecy.

(1) And this know that difficult times will come in the end times. (2) For people will selfish, greedy, boastful, conceited, blasphemous, disrespectful to parents, ungrateful, ungodly, (3) Heartless, fierce, slanderous, violent, cruel, haters of good, (4) treacherous, insolent, boastful, loving pleasures more than God; (5) they keep up a semblance of piety, but deny what is its strength. Stay away from such!

The teenager is believed to be the first selfie addict in the UK and has undergone therapy to treat his addiction to the technology as well as obsessive-compulsive disorder and dysmorphophobia.

Part of his treatment at Maudsley Hospital in London included taking his iPhone for 10 minutes then 30 minutes and then an hour.

"It was unbearable, but I knew I had to do it if I wanted to go on living," he told the Sunday Mirror.

The UK public health service has announced that addiction to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter is a disease and more than 100 patients a year are seeking help.

"Selfies often trigger self-flagellation or social attention seeking, which raise the if-you-do and if-you-don't tendencies of narcissism or low self-esteem," Pamela Rutledge told Psychology Today.

Selfie addiction has also worried health workers in Thailand. "Paying close attention to published photos, controlling who views or likes or comments on them, wanting to get as many likes as possible is a sign that selfies are causing problems," said Panpimol Wipulakorn of Thailand's Department of Mental Health .

The doctor thinks these behaviors can create mental problems in the future, especially in those with insecurities.

The word "selfie" was selected as the "Word of the Year 2013" by the Oxford English Dictionary. It is defined as "taking a photograph of oneself usually with a smartphone or webcam and uploading it to a social networking site."

Recently my wife made a purchase of a selfie device.

She explained that "I don't have to ask to take a picture anymore."

The problem is that I like people a lot and I usually chat at every opportunity, often joking. This device takes that away from me.....

It's like onanism, you don't have to have a partner anymore, and where's the human being in all this? Where's the altruistic personality?

  1. It's not the first time you've posted something I'm thinking about at the moment. This "strange coincidence" is no coincidence.I've been thinking about it myself after what I've seen.People are terribly selfish and self-centered.Amongst friends(non-believers) it's terrible. You can't form any bonds of friendship with them, because they are disloyal and sooner or later will stab you in the back.Although there are certainly still people who are loyal on principle, maybe these people haven't converted yet.
